What Your Place Really Means

When I created Your Place Health & Fitness, I wanted to build something that went far beyond traditional personal training or nutrition coaching. After 20 years in health and fitness, and now, as an occupational therapist, I’ve seen that true well-being isn’t about quick fixes or chasing perfection. It’s about finding your place, the space where health fits naturally into your life, not the other way around.

Why I Set It Up
For years, I saw people working hard in the gym or following strict diets, only to end up frustrated, burnt out, or back at square one. It wasn’t lack of effort, it was lack of balance. I founded Your Place to change that. My goal was to bring the science of lifestyle medicine together with a practical, human approach to coaching - one that helps people feel better, move better, and live more meaningfully, without overwhelm or guilt.
Every month, we focus on small, realistic steps, not just workouts and meal plans, but the whole picture of your well-being. We look at what’s working, what’s not, and what matters most to you. Over time, this creates sustainable change that feels personal and achievable.

Your Health, Your Fitness, Your Space, Your Place
Each part of Your Place represents an area of health that supports the others, because when one improves, everything else does too.
Your Health – Simple, sustainable nutrition that supports your energy, blood sugar, and mood, without restriction or confusion. We focus on healthy patterns you can live with, not diets that expire.
Your Fitness – Movement that fits your lifestyle, not someone else’s. Whether it’s strength training, cycling, or walking with a friend, we’ll find what makes you feel good and keep your body strong for the long term.
Your Space – The mind matters as much as the body. Here, we focus on mental health, sleep, and recovery, the foundations that keep you grounded, focused, and resilient.
Your Place – This is where everything comes together. It’s about meaningful habits, purpose, and connection, the things that make life feel full, not just busy. It’s about living well in your own skin, in your own way.

Why It Works
When coaching is grounded in lifestyle medicine and behaviour change science, it becomes less about willpower and more about design. We create an environment where your health becomes part of who you are - not a task on your to-do list. Over time, that’s what makes the difference between short-term effort and long-term well-being.
Because your place isn’t a gym, or a diet, or an app - it’s the balance between your health, your habits, and your happiness.
And that’s where real change begins.
